An HR manager asks you to summarise the salary distribution for 200 employees. She does not want formulas — she wants to understand what the numbers mean for her hiring budget.
The Brief
Invent a plausible salary dataset (you may describe it rather than list 200 rows). Calculate the four descriptive statistics, then write a short memo interpreting them for a non-technical HR manager.
Deliverables
- The four statistics (mean, median, mode, standard deviation) with your calculations shown
- A 150-word memo interpreting what these numbers tell the HR manager about salary distribution and equity
- One visualization you would recommend to accompany the memo and why
