Integrate Charts & Dark Mode

Bring the dashboard to life with data visualization and theming.

The Scenario

The dashboard layout is approved, but the merchants want to visualize their sales data. They also requested a dark mode because many of them check their stats late at night. You need to integrate a charting library and implement a global theme toggle.

The Brief

1) Integrate a charting library (like Recharts or Chart.js) to display a "Revenue Over Time" line chart and a "Sales by Category" pie chart. 2) Implement a robust Dark Mode toggle that saves the user preference to LocalStorage and respects their system OS preference by default.

Deliverables

  • The React component code integrating the two charts with mock data
  • The Dark Mode state logic and `useEffect` for system preference checking
  • The CSS variables or Tailwind configuration used to support the dual themes

Submission Guidance

The dark mode implementation is the primary test here. Do not just toggle a class on the body; show how you structured your CSS variables or Tailwind config to make theming scalable across the app.
