The Scenario

A manufacturing company is implementing an ERP system affecting Finance, Operations, and HR. Each department has different concerns: Finance worries about data migration, Operations about downtime, HR about change fatigue. The project manager wants a structured comms plan.

The Brief

Design a stakeholder communication plan covering all 3 departments, the executive sponsor, and the IT team. Define channels, frequency, content, and escalation paths.

Deliverables

  • A comms matrix: Stakeholder Group × Channel × Frequency × Content Summary × Owner
  • A message calendar for Month 1 showing specific communications scheduled
  • An escalation path for when stakeholders raise concerns that exceed the BA's authority
