The Scenario
A project management tool has a 5-step onboarding flow: Welcome → Create Workspace → Invite Team → Create First Project → Tour Complete. The current copy is generic ("Welcome! Let's get started."). Users drop off at step 3.
The Brief
Write all the copy for the 5-step onboarding flow. Include headlines, body text, button labels, progress indicators, tooltips, and the empty state for a workspace with no projects.
Deliverables
- Complete copy for all 5 screens: headline, body text (max 2 sentences), primary CTA, secondary CTA
- A progress indicator design with copy (e.g., "Step 2 of 5 — almost there" vs "2/5")
- Tooltips for 3 non-obvious features encountered during onboarding
- An empty state for the dashboard after onboarding (no projects yet) that motivates the first action
Submission Guidance
Users drop off at "Invite Team" because it feels like a chore, not a benefit. The copy should reframe it: "Projects go faster with teammates. Who should join you?"
Submit Your Work
Your submission is graded against the rubric on the right. If you pass, you get a public Badge URL you can share on LinkedIn. There is no draft save, so work offline first and paste your finished response here.
