The Scenario
A fintech company publishes a blog but the posts are written without briefs. Writers guess what to cover, resulting in unfocused articles that rank for nothing. The content lead wants every post to start with a brief.
The Brief
Write a comprehensive content brief for a blog post targeting the keyword "how to save money in South Africa". The brief should be detailed enough that any competent writer could produce the article without further input.
Deliverables
- The brief: target keyword, secondary keywords, search intent, target word count, and audience persona
- A detailed outline with H2/H3 headings, the key points to cover under each, and the CTA
- Three competitor articles you would analyse (invent titles and URLs) and the content gaps your article should fill
Submission Guidance
A brief is not an outline. It also includes tone of voice, internal linking targets, and what NOT to cover. Show this level of detail.
Submit Your Work
Your submission is graded against the rubric on the right. If you pass, you get a public Badge URL you can share on LinkedIn. There is no draft save, so work offline first and paste your finished response here.
