The Scenario

A food delivery app in Durban has 50,000 downloads but only 8,000 monthly active users. The founder knows about the "pirate metrics" framework (AARRR) but has never applied it. She wants you to map her funnel.

The Brief

Map the complete AARRR funnel (Acquisition, Activation, Retention, Referral, Revenue) for this food delivery app. For each stage, define the key metric, the current hypothetical rate, and one tactic to improve it.

Deliverables

  • A table: Funnel Stage, Definition for this app, Key Metric, Current Rate (hypothetical), Target Rate
  • One growth tactic per stage, specific to food delivery (not generic advice)
  • The one stage you would prioritise first and why (hint: it is probably not Acquisition)
